    High BW host needed ASAP

Im currently host on micfo ..
cpanel shows that i've used up 13G BW (6G on awstats) .. my bandwidth limit is 80G but i think i will meet that soon

this image hosting site has only went live for 6 days and i really need some advice on cheap high bandwidth provider. Preferably a shared hosting account as i do not know anything to run a dedicated or server. I only need minimal features, just high BW and around 4G harddisk or less. Im only using 300mb now.

One problem is that i couldnt restrict the file size via the script .. the author of the script says that the only way to restrict the file size is through php.ini

So do you think that micfo will allow me to change that? Dont think so

    Thanks for your input!!

There are lots of hosts that oversell bw and I've seen some selling over 120GB on a shared server for less than $10. Since you actually are going to use your bw, you'd better for a manage dedicated or a virtual dedicated.

    Thanks all for the feedback.
But the main problem is my budget.
I got my micfo 80G bandwidth with less that $4 per month.

I cant afford any big money in hosting as the site is not earning money at this stage

If you don't need more than 11GB bandwidth per day,
you could give www.servage.net a try.

Why are you recommending them if you have no experience with them?

My post was solely based on the high bandwidth requirements of the
topic starter, but you are right, it's no good idea to suggest hosts
I've no personal experience with It could lead to confusion.

Therefore I tried to express it very carefully with "you could give a try"
and the hint that I don't have personal experience with them.

It's somewhat misleading, in my opinion.
You have to read the fineprint.

    It's up to 330 GB/month, but limited to 11 GB/day.
Even if you have used no bandwidth at all in the first 29 days,
you are not allowed to use more than 11 GB the 30th day.

Okay, it's marketing, but it should be stated clear on their mainpage
that it's max. 11GB/day. Somewhat misleading advertisement.
But hopefully some more people now know about the "truth"
    behind these 330 GB.

Nevertheless, I shouldn't have posted this company. My mistake

I dont think I have ever seen a host that could offer 80-100 GB bandwidth for $4 pm..infact as far as I know, the cost of bandwidth from a data center is more than this..

Our hosting package (servage.net) allows 11 GB traffic per day or maximum 330 GB in a normal 30 day month. A 28 day month allows 308 GB transfer and a 31 day allows a maximum transfer of 341 GB.

We feel this is a fair way of setting our transfer allowance. With the system we try to avoid customers who just wants to use all transfer in a few days. 11 Gb/day *is* quite allot.

Maybe you can move to their 120gb plan? if you need more than that i honestly think you should search for a VPS - Or maybe you can consider to use www.powweb.com which gives 300gb per month(10gb per day limit) but they have mixed reviews here on WHT. Maybe for a single image hosting site it's going to be good for you.

Have you tried to edit the htaccess file? it always helped for me. Also hosts usually restrict PHP upload size to 2048mb, you want people to upload pictures larger than that?
