Site monitors?

What third party site monitors would anyone recommend? I have not used one before so am seeking advice.

Are the free ones like EasyMonitor.com any good or would a paid service be better? It's just to monitor up time for a small site.

Thanks

Here's my 1000th post on WHT.

There are a couple of free ones liek www.siteuptime.com & www.host-tracker.com

Have used them both, pretty good service.

Congrats on the post count!! I forget who I use but I get a weekly e-mail from them. I'll post it when I get the e-mail from them.

Awesome job Aingaran!!

I hear WebSitePulse.com does a pretty nice job, and the prices seem reasonable.

I use Alertranow, but I think for a small site, siteuptime would do fine. The free account only allows for 30-minute monitoring though.

Host-tracker has every minute tracking and its very accurate AND free. Heres a link to my stats on there.

http://host-tracker.com/website-upti...tistics/22557/ Works like a charm.

http://uppanel.com/ is another good one I see people mentioning.

SiteUptime used to send off lots of false alarms so I stopped using that (I was using the free service). I now use WebsitePulse which is ok, but the most accurate one in my opinion is Alertra.

Even using the paid service it set off a few false alarms; 3 last month alone.

I've been using it for under a month now, but so far I'm pleasantly surprised.
