Would it drive away buisness to put Google adSense on a hosting website?
Or would the extra income be enough that the two would cancel each other out?
I just added it to my hosting sites page and I'm hoping potential customers won't click away and try someplace advertised in the adds...rather than go with us. At the very least, the adds could offer them a comparison as to what we offer and what someone else offers, and they still might decide to join with us..
There was a thread about this last week.. General consensus was that it is definately very unprofessional and not good for business. Personally if I came across a paid hosting site with adsense on it I would not even think about hosting with that company.
Very unprofessional, a potential customer may believe that your sole purpose is just to make a quick buck, or your business isn't performing well enough so you have to put up adsense in attempts to subsidize. I would take them down if I were you, why even drive away customers for 5-15 cents when you could have them for x.xx every month??
If I see it on a hosting company site, or any other service site that is a paid for service, I always come to the conclussion that they just can't cut it in their market sector if they are having to resort to advertising on their site to increase income.
