Hallo, I've registered many of my domains with a German
provider called "all-inkl.com". That's one of the best pro-
viders here in Germany and they also offer reseller hosting.
So you should check it out whether it meets your require-
ments or not. Well, I can recommend it: all-inkl.com.
from a visualroute traceroute i get these results:
totalchoice: virginia (but in the site there is no virginia datacenter, the nearest is washington)
surpass: florida (but in the site i can't find a "datacenter" section!!!!!!)
if you need more details, i'll ask the supports...
i've got a 1.2mbps connection, from fast servers i can download at ~150kb/s.
so, if i can download from a surpass hosting server at 100kb/s i'm happy (but i'll not sign up 'cause i've heard bad voices on them).
instead, from that plan located in NJ i can only download at 30kb/s or less... i don't think it is my internet connection!
so.. i'm still lookin for a good speed from europe!
The data center location does not affect our download speed. It happens that within Asia our download speed is slower than from a data center located in the USA, but in most cases there is no difference. It depends mainly on the internet connectivity of the datacenter and the actual traffic conditions.
Ping response times of course depend on the datacenter location.
I am eurovps.com reseller located in Finland. I have been with them only for few weeks but my aquintance has been several months.
This far their service, support, policy, uptime has been great. One thing I appreciate is the transparency and straightness (somebody gave a different statement in the beginning of this thread?). They operate with real (and whole) names. The Leaseweb datacenter seems to be one of the good and big ones. Ping for me is good.
I am interested to hear more from that wht forum member who told these person are lyers. Hard talk.
I will keep You informed when my customer realation with eurovps is bit longer (older).
I can also mention that I am satisfied Resellerzoom customer and now, when they have had things (new ownership, datacenter change etc) solved, satisfied Dailyhosting customer too (plus several co-op companies here in Finland).
I've seen their site promoted on another forum
and on wht most posts are also offers
they seem to have a datacenter located in denmark
but I must say they have me confused with their site...
it pops from one design to another,
no information what so ever about plans, prices, features
(I only found it buy going to the "buy" page where some info is given...)
I don't think it's looking trustworthy with a site like that
"European businesses need a reliable hosting company to provide them with quality hosting, but among the plethora of companies coming and going, it's nearly impossible to find this stability. We have seen many web hosting companies tout themselves as European hosting firms, only to run a trace route and determine that their rented server is in a low budget datacenter in the USA. It doesn't take 30 hops to reach our servers: Trace route to 184.108.40.206."
Hmmm....interesting, I ve been testing for download speeds from USA and Netherlands...via browser...USA is faster, which is quite interesting since I am located in Finland Europe and Netherlands is much closer than USA....There is BIG differences with datacenters and networks...so I will stay in USA...
