Just purchased one server from LT
Just wanted to give my expreience with LT.
Purchased the server Saturday night 7th of May. Got my server Details 5 days later. Apprently Everything else came through to my hotmail account except my server details.
So 6 days later i receive the confirmation, But we cant access the root Of the server and the passwords all supplied are all Useless.
Its been a nightmare trying to sort it out as the servermanagment company cant access it know. So im stuck both way.
Its been a nightmare trying to sort this out, Being its my first Server.
But the guys at LT have been responding. It just that i have to keep putting request in to have the passwords reset.
If This server was for my business this situation would have been critical. Im lucky the first server was for me.
Is this normal for a first time server renter.
This is not normal for a first time renter, but it can happen to you on your first machine or your 10th. LT has some great reviews around here and in my limited experience with them everything went perfectly smooth.
I dont Think ITs LT fault. Well im not blaming them.
Just did not imagine it would take nearly 7 days to sort a server out.
Do you think its ok for me to ask the servermanagment company to deal directly With LT and not go through me as this would save so much more time instead of me forwarding emails back and forth.
I would go ahead and ask them. The only problem I would see is maybe on LT's end. But if you gave layered tech an e-mail or something stating that they are your management company it would most likely take care of that. I worked as a tech-admin for a hosting company and they (LT) allowed me to take care of everything without having to go through the owner.
I waited 16 days but it so gooooddd that I cant complain at all..
I'm a newbee in English
It took about 2 hours for my server to be deployed, and even the control panel was installed.
However I wasn't very happy with their support (overall; some were responded to quickly, others took upto a week)
No matter who your DS provider is, sometimes email gets lost, sometimes licenses are screwed up, somtimes things just happen.
The key is to find yourself a DS provider that minimizes these situations, and when they do occur handles them gracefully with credits, bill adjustments, personalized service and attention.
Fast network, exellent servers, great support.
