Adverising and rules have nothing to do. They might be banned and yet advertising, especially when the advertising is prepaid and in force before the fact of overstepping the rules. Otherwise WHT would step over the rules of business ethics.

Well I feel sorry for you because of that.
I remember when we were banned too. It happens sometime. What I'm suggesting you is to wait for a couple of months, participate actively , help people here and you will be rewarded.
Originally posted by hendricknet It means that the pour bloke (it is bloke right Aussie Bob? ) had to pay for the banner to be advertised wherever it was advertised.
I was afraid of that, I could hardly believe my own EYES!
I am 180 degrees from Mr. Lee's management style - to humiliate and single out an individual (valued employee), and then proclaim that he has been "made" to pay for the company's appology banner is just damn sick. Refering to him as a "culprit" is also upsetting to me.
Mr. Lee is the only one responsible in this situation. That is why he is in management; it just goes with the territory.
This was a simple failure of management. Mr. Lee has no one to blame except himself.

Come on, guys, of course it was a joke (to have the guy pay for the banner). Get a sense of humor please. The banner was funny and an attention getter, and it did its job.
Nowhere in the apology text it said anything about what happened to the sales person. He could be fired and if that's the case, it is their internal affair. Anyone running a company knows you can fire an employee, but you cannot make employee pay for business expense (wouldn't fly with IRS).
I will have to say they did a great job making something good for their business out of bad. Just look at how many people viewed/commented in this thread. We all can learn from them. However, I will bet WHT won't release the ban until the a couple of months (whatever their rule is).
