    What is Fantastico and Clientexec?

    Hi all.

I've narrowed my choice of a new VPS provider to ServInt and PowerVPS.

They seem to be very similar (and both located in Virginia). ServInt offers a little bit more transfer (350gb vs 250gb) and seems to have better hardware, but from reading this site, PowerVPS seems to have faster performance. Am I correct in these assumptions?

Also, and this may be my deciding factor, what exactly are the benefits of Fantastico and Clientexec? PowerVPS offers these in their package, while ServInt does not.

I don't have a desire to be a re-seller, but I do manage multiple websites, hence my need for a VPS. Speed and reliability are my top priorities. It's also important that the VPS provider "manages" my VPS as I don't have a lot of server experience. From what I've read, it seems that ServInt and PowerVPS provide a similar amount of "management" to the server. Is this a safe assumption?

Fantastico is a script installer - a bit useless in my opinion as cpanel now has a built in one - but your clients may like it included.

ClientExec is basically a client management system/billing system - not bad but not all that great either!

Clientexec (Information taken from site clientexec dot com)
ClientExec is a tool to help web hosts manage and support their clients efficiently. NEWEDGE Services Inc is the company behind it. We are web hosts too, along with many people who helped in the testing and development. Thousands of hours were spent to create a tool with intelligent design and clean precision. Unlike many client management packages, ClientExec does not try to be all things to all people; you are in control. Instead we want it to be a natural addition to your business, a powerful tool you use, not get lost within.

I believe there are plenty of better scripts than clientexec such as modernbill or whmautopilot. Just google for more information.

If they are giving you fantastico and clientexec along with a VPS go for it. As long as if you like the VPS provider.
