I would like to take some time out to post this for any start-up hosting business owners that are either in planning phases, soon to start, or have been in operation for a relatively short period of time.
My name is Steven H. Clarke and I have been involved in business for many, many years now - specifically the hosting / design industry for the past 3-4 years. I was the owner of the now defunct NetStartz Web Services, LLC., which at it's peak was an incredible company that did rather well. Unfortunately due to poor personal decisions there is no longer a NetStartz. There is a lot of information regarding my company listed here on WHT, so by all means I encourage you to check it out before you contact me. I am not happy with the end results, but I must certainly say the lifetime business/personal relationships that were established, the financial side of it during the company's peak, and the overall experience certainly made it all worth while. I take it all as a learning experience to make anything I'm a part of in the future that much better!
Now...I know that I possess the ability to be highly beneficial to a new company entering the industry. I would like to use my skills and abilities to either assist in the management of a new hosting company, or actually take the role of a partner. I know that I can effectively use my communication skills to portray a professional image for the company that I am involved with, which will ultimately improve overall customer satisfaction. Nothing satisfies me more than a satisfied customer and if you search here (one may have to search hard, as negatives are posted much more than positives) one will find the dedication I put into making sure I satisfy each and every customer.
Currently I am working on my own small operation, which should have its own little impact on the industry. In no way will there be any conflict of interest with my current software development company and any hosting company I develop a relationship with.
I am interested in helping out and getting back in the industry. Exactly how, Iím not sure yet, which is why Iím posting this to see if anyone is out there looking for a consultant/partner like me. I know the industryís ups and downs, Iíve touched it all from basic shared/reseller hosting, to my own (small) dedicated/collocation line, to game server/irc hosting. I am also highly knowledgeable as far as the technical side of the work is concerned. Iíve used many different Unix operating systems on my servers, and learned how to effectively manage them.
So, basicallyÖ.(sorry for the long Ė long post) Iím looking to get back into the industry.
Need a partner? - Want to improve your business plan/operation with a knowledgeable consultant?
Then Iím certainly the guy for you!
I would like to formally request that any and all requests for information, proposals, concerns, questions, comments, and/or feedback be directed to me via private email. There will be no response by myself to this thread, but I will quickly acknowledge all emails sent my way.
Email: sclarke814 [at] gmail . com
P.S. - One of my requirements is that anyone interested in approaching me be very serious about the industry they are trying to step into. I'm not looking to be just another one of the thousands of regular hosts out there, but one that offers that edge both in service and support!
On a side note: For any established company looking to hire a full time managerial employee (please note: I'm not looking for your run of the mill commissioned sales rep position) or some position that would enable me to help make the overall operations of the company that much better. I may potentially be interested. Feel free to contact me.
