bootdisk problem (vaio laptop)


Hey guys,

I created a boot disk w/ killdisk pro on it.

I'm using an external sony floppy drive.

when i start up the computer, it just goes straight to windows.. any suggestions?

i'm going nuts trying to figure this out!

have you gone into the bios and put to boot from floppy first or USB (if that's an option).

yes i did..im getting a really bad headache now..this is ridiculous..

i've been working on this for 1 full day now.

I guess you could make a bootable cd with killdisk on it.

I don't know about yours, but my vaio cannot boot from usb. This is annoying as i have an external hard drive. this will probably be the problem. It doesn't matter that is a floppy drive, it is still using usb.

can you explain how i could create a boot disk via cdrom with kill disk on it?

i can probably figure out how to add kill disk onto it..but creating a boot disk cd part..i just need a quick guide..what to use.

I'm not entirely sure.
I think nero has an option to create a boot disk - not sure how it differs from a normal cd.
