Reseller and Shared on one server or two?

Would it be a good idea to split shared and reseller clients on to different servers?

So have all resellers on one, and all shared on the other.

Yes its a great idea. Many hosts do this.

You can setup the reseller server to be totally transparent (hostname, dns etc all unbranded).

While keeping your shared accounts on a nice fully branded server.

Hi just wondering.. if i want to offer a reseller account on my server, how do i make it unbranded? and how can i offer my reseller their own nameserver e.g ns1.reseller1.com?

You can make it unbranded by using a different domain name for the server name. So if your company is abc.com, you can register xyz.com and use it as the server name. And make a blank page for xyz.com so if someone goes to it, it won't be connected to abc.com

There's lots more you can do than just having a different server name.

You can tailor the whole server to be reseller orientated. Its not something I can help with tho im afraid, our admins setup ours accordingly.
