Best code editor with highlighting and FTP?

I'm currently using Dev-php to code my php scripts. However, the FTP functionality on it isn't too great. In fact, it fails to work at all.

I need a good code text editor (preferably with mutliple code format highlighting) and a good built in FTP manager to edit files on an FTP server.

I don't mind if it is paid or not. Any suggestions?

I used Zend Studio on a trial, I had to say it's a very nice piece of software.

Once you get it setup and customized to your liking, intergrated in with their other software; and projects set up, it became a very handy tool.

Honestly, Dreamweaver works for me. I don't need highlighting or all that fancy jazz... The most Dreamweaver does is highlight black or red, when you forget to close a quote...

I use Dreamweaver also, mainly because when you use FTP, it shows up in a tree view. You can also integrate it with source control.

I've asked forever on forums about another text editor that has a tree view for FTP but no one knows of one. I would rather use something else that isn't bloated.

I use dreamweaver. I hate the FTP and all the setting up a site in it though.

    Thanks guys.

Been taking a look at Zend Studio and it doesnt even seem to compare to any of the others listed here. But of course, it is quite a bit more expensive.

I think Ill invest in Zend Studio Professional. It would save me soo much time.
