well, I haven't tried very many hosts, but currently I use varhosting.net and I am very satisfied with their hosting. They have nice plans and VERY good support. They will also support your clients.

Cheap does not always mean bad. Test a host out first, call them at 3am and see if they answer, send them a ticket at 5am the next day see how long it takes for them to answer. We get customers that do it all the time. Just an idea, but I would not pick a host only on price because you could miss out big time and save some money.

http://www.clook.net I have only been with them a short time but they were brought to my attention from a long time friend who has been with them for years. Good luck in your search

And that depends on what time zone they're in, and what time zone the host is in. 3am for the client could be 12pm for the host, so your theory has holes.

I would suggest block9hosting.net & varhosting.net both offer very good support and affordable plans with no compromise on the quality.
Block9Hosting does not offer overselling, Varhosting does.(depends on what you like I guess)
Varhosting offers very quick response times on their support ticket, Block9hosting are quick too, but I havent had any reason to submit a ticket - uptime is 100% since beginning of April.
I can go on comparing but you get the gist of it, either one of these two, you will be happy with...

Idologic has good track records.
For some host, if you are willing to pay for an additional block of ips say 8, you can get a set of ips of the different class C from your initial set. To get each ip of a different class C, I would love to know who will do it.

Easier said than done. Now-a-days ARIN is so darn strict on giving out IP's that buying them with $$$ is not the problem, giving them a valid reason for the use of the IP is the problem.
Even if you have money, they could easily refuse selling it to you. They are ruthless in this sense.

well yes i need it for seo purposes..and well i have been reading here for a long time and needless to say majority of the "cheap plan" hosting companies either dont last or in a short period of time they overall..also cheap hosting companies are the first attraction for all abusive users...
site5 has reputation but didn't like the tone of the sales person..
affordablehost was really really good till the sale was done..and now is in the hands of dotcanada which i am trying to get rid of..
any other resellers hopefully..
thanks

Stay away from hostdeal.com and resellernow.com, both appear to be under the dotcanada umbrella. I was just recently acquired by them from a previous small web host reseller. So far we have had numerous problems and no responses to our tickets or emails. Our most recent outage was over 4 days to be resolved. No email, no databases, no response to any of our tickets.
STAY AWAY!
I am currently looking for a new provider.
