What was the first domain name you ever purchased? :: Ever...
I'm not neccessarily looking for the actual domain name as I think that would breach the anti-advertising rules here at WHT.

Hi,
I bought my first domain (.com) at NetworkSolutions in 1997. By that time NetworkSoulutions sent a colorful certificate for each domain.

My first domain was free, not purchased This was back in 1995 whilst the UK domains were still managed by someone in a university.
I registered a .co.uk as at that time you registered a domain based on your country and only looked at a .com etc... if you were a global company. (How things have changed !)

a .com.mx and i will never buy one like that ever again, i just keep that because still many sites link to it and some search engines
