Creating eMail accounts without using cPanel

Is there anyone who knows how I can make a PHP script or is it freely available around the Internet ? I want to create an email account without logging into the cPanel. This would mean anyone can create email accounts, just like Hotmail, Yahoo etc. Thnx

You can use Squirrel Mail to do that.

    Hivemail & Socketmail.
They are not free though, but you can learn how they work to write one if you have time.

    hai jeiwei,

I know what you want. Something similar to /scripts/postupcp, but instead to

be used after upcp to be used after account creation.

I know there are now several post* scripts (postupcp, postftpinstall,

postexim4install), but donno if there is one for what you are looking for.

Ok, it seems there are post* for more things

postkillact <- script to be called after killing an account
postwwwacct <- script to be called after creating an account
postwwwacctuser <- script to be called after calling postwwwacct

postwwwacctuser uses as parameter $user, which I suppose is the account

    name created.

What you need to do is to create such scripts in /scripts/ and they will be

    called when needed.

    So the workflow is:

    - Account creation in WHM
    - whm calls /scripts/wwwacct
    - if exist /scripts/postwwwacct, execute it
    - if exist /scripts/postwwwacctuser, execute it

the same can be applied to killacct.

    thanks

There is a php script in cpanel forums about this, sending a request to the cpanel by fopen("http://user:[email protected]:2082") alike.

The best way would be to use cURL to do this. I could swear I posted a script to do this before, but if you still have no luck finding it, i'll do it again. It's not terribly difficult. I'll write you a function for it.
