Only thing to check would be to make sure it's not muted and the volume is up.

    Click Start then Control Panel.

Go to Sounds & Audio Devices
    Click on the "Audio" tab.
Select your soundcard as the Default Recording Device

    Click On The "Voice" tab.
Select your soundcard as the Default Recording Device

    Go To The "Volume" tab.
    Click Advanced
Unmute your Microphone, and move the volume up

    Click Options Then Properties
    Click Recording
    Click Ok
Make Sure That Your Microphone Has Its "Select" Checkbox Ticked.

Close Those Windows, And You Will Now Be Able To Hear Yourself, I'm Really Not Sure Why You'd Want To Do This Though, Because It Will Cause Loop-Back If You Use It For Any Kind Of Recording Or Voice Chat.
