    Cgi/Sendmail Problem:: Will pay for help.

    For some reason, my server is not allowing cgi scripts to use sendmail to send out emails. No errors, as far as I see, is generated which makes it hard to find the problem. The security option in WHM to silently disregard emails, etc. are not on either.

    I contacted EV1 about this and here is their reply...

    The configuration of the server looks to be correct for this purpose. I do notice that the script you are using requires the CGI.pm Perl module, and I found two copies of CGI.pm:

    /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.0/CGI.pm
    /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.1/CGI.pm

    There is some possibility that these conflict. Since this is third-party software, you will need to ask about this on or forums or contact the developer of the script for further assistance in making it work. Let us know if there is anything else we may help you with. Thank you for choosing EV1Servers.

    I have a client who has been waiting to fix this for almost 10- days and is really angry now. I would appreciate any help. I am willing to pay via PayPal if someone can help solve this problem.

    Thanks in Advance,
    Kevin

    run the command below, and send the output here:

    for i in `which perl`; do echo $i; echo "-------------"; $i -v; echo; done;

    Then show me the first line of your perl script and show the output of
    grep 'use ' /pathe/to/your/script

    Thank for your help.

    [email protected] [~]# for i in `which perl`; do echo $i; echo "-------------"; $i -v; echo; done;

    Thanks agian, I appreciate it.

    you should try to change first line from /usr/bin/perl to /usr/local/bin/perl at first.

    1. check your CGI module avaliability at the second:
    perl -MCGI -e 'print "$CGI::VERSION\n"'

    Or just create a symlink might solve your problem...
    Code:
    ln -s /usr/local/bin/perl /usr/bin/perl

    Alright. That fixed it. Thank you.

    Also, I wanted to thank techlollu from WHT who provides EXCELLENT server support, last night he dropped my server's load from 5-6 to less than 1. Found a program placed on the server by hackers, found several IRC scripts and blocked them all, utilized mysql for a very very reasonable price. I would definately recommend him.

    Thanks again for everyone's input,
