I am having some very wierd problems with Mozilla Thunderbird. It works fine and is a great email client - until I restart my computer.
After shutting down and rebooting, it will stop connecting to any of my outgoing mail servers with an "Unable to connect - check that it exists" message. I know for certain that there is nothing wrong with the mail servers, thunderbird just cannot find/acknowledge them. the confuzing thing is that this only happens when I reboot.
I have found a work-around solution by backing up my Thunderbird application data, and copying it back once I have restarted.
I am behind a university firewall and proxies etc., so that may be doing something, but why not until I reboot.
Outlook Express has no problems at all.
I would appreciate any suggestions from anyone (not if you think i'm talking about the puppets).
