New Host? I want to move!
sdfasdf
as
dfasf
Okay, so I'm retyping all this! (it wouldn't post the first time... nuoooo T_T)
I've been looking around for a new host with sort of what I started out with:
$0.90 per month
1 gig space
2 gigs bandwidth
and all that other good stuff.
Good customer support is a nice thing too =D
I haven't been able to find what I'm looking for.
Does anyone have any ideas? >_>;

Good luck getting a host that caters to bottom feeders like that, please for your own good, raise your budget.
Want good customer support? Raise your budget at least $8 USD/month if not more.
Anything under $5 USD/month for 1 GB space is LOW!██ Automated Tendencies - Brand Management Agency from Baltimore, Maryland.

You will need to raise your price range, you're only paying $12 a year. If you can , although it is risky, find a host who will accept pre-payments and you can receive a discount. Look for $30-40 a year and you will receive better quality.

I think $3/mo is the minimum budget to host a 1 gig site with reliable services. The problem is you will probably have to jump on a year contract and this can be tricky. Raise your budget and you will move from host to host fewer times in the future.

$0.90 is really very small budget and it will be very tough to find a host offering 1GB space and 2GB bandwidth at this price. It is therefore recommended for you to increase your budget so that you find the hosting as per your requirements.

Why would a host sell a 1gb plan for cheaper than a 20oz bottle of pop? Unless they are overselling, and will kick you before you even use a majority of your "space"

you should really try to get your budget up to at least $3/month.. I would recommend starting off with a free web host and putting up some google ads, once you get your google adsense cheque of $100, you can at least pay for 2 years of hosting at $3/month

I've been with them for two years >_>;
I bought it when they were relatively new and had lots of space to spare
I figured it out.
Thanks for all the advice though! =D

Hi Tetsuyo,
As everyone here has already suggested, raise your budget or get low quality hosting service for that sort of budget.
I would recommend using the host quote function here, also if you want you can go to these web hosting directories that offer great results and have a easy search interface.
www.askwebhosting.com
www.hostpulse.com
these ones dont have any banners or exchange links etc. and offer pretty good results, just fill in your requirements.
Good Luck and have a good one

Amazing some of the advice given in this thread.
My advice: If you are paying
$0.90 per month
1 gig space
2 gigs bandwidth
then best to stay where you are.HostCaters.com - Quality Web Hosting - Under A Gig! - Since 1999

Hosts can't afford to offer that kind of space for 0.90 cents per month, its just not justifiable by any standards.
Standard hardrive is around 80GB, 80GB/1 = 80 obviously, then 80/0.90 = 79. Now, how could the average host unless they were way overselling make profit from that, bandwidth alone costs more not to mention hardware replacements, staff etc.
If your budget is so strictly limited and you can't remain with your current host, and you have DSL or a Cable connection, you would probably benefit from running the site from your computer. 1GB space and 2GB bandwidth seems an odd combination, as if only 2 unique visitors fully browsed your site you'd have none left, thats presuming you actually need all that space.

Plus, they don't have locked prices, so I'll have to pay for their newer plan, which only gives you 100 megs. ew.
