I'm in the UK. I had a company is US purchase a domain from me (gotext.com), insisting that I use registerfly.com to handle the payment.
In November 2004 we received notification that the client had made payment to registerfly.com, we dutifully released the domain. New domain owner is happily now the owner of the domain and using it to sell there services.
I on the other hand have spent $200 in phone calls and sent over 168 email requesting the transfer of the money to me.
My emails and calls to registerfly are not ignored. They tell me daily that they'll start the process to release the funds. Daily, I'm told that the funds will be in my paypal account, or transferred by wire, and that they'll be in my account with 5 working days. IT NEVER ARRIVES.
What next? Any advice would sincerely be appreciated.
How long did this take to get resolved ? I've experienced the same thing.. and still waiting. I wouldn't recommend using them again. Support is minimal and service is extremely slow. I don't believe at all that their claim "most transactions complete in days" is true.
Still no payment for me. I will contact the Attorney General's office about the company. If anyone else is having issues with them still, I encourage you to do the same. With enough people complaining to the New Jersey Attorney General's Office, they may understand there's a real problem and not just an occasional misunderstanding.
I am in a similar situation. 'RegFly' has been in touch with me, but I wanted to tell the group about my ESCROW issues.
HOPEFULLY 'RegFly' will fix this for me.....but here is my story:
I only used ESCROW as a way to protect myself and my buyer and ironically, I needed protection against the ESCROW itself!?
I sold a domain 8/22/2005 to a guy in Japan. He paid via credit card. The transaction was successful and it was actually an internal transfer...should go nice an smooth...and it did. All was completed.....but....
I still don't have my money. I have opened many tickets...all closed for this excuse or the other. Phone calls are not returned. EVER. I have been told that no one I need to speak to has a phone.....Do they really think I am that stupid?
I will give them and 'RegFly' a few more days to sort this out and then I will file a formal complaint with the Attorney General's office
in NJ. Next step will probably be to hire an attorney to get my funds.
I really think if they treated the customer as #1 and returned calls, that they could be a great Registrar....
