OK I signed up with xlhost.com today. I am getting concerned. Do they work on the weekend? Because I can not call their tech support. 1 I live in canada and their 800 number does not allow that... 2 their 614 number sais their closed.
But I am sort of trying to reach a monday dealine lol...
Finally I did not order Cpanel, am I screwed or is there something I can do to add domain names and email address on the server without cpanel...?
I guess they're pretty similar to Managed.com, both aren't staffed on weekends. I know though that XLHost is a good company, was a customer of theirs for a pretty long time. However, to answer your question, I don't see why they wouldn't refund your money considering their guarantee.
wow this is pretty funny. We used to rent managed.com servers through AngelNetworkz we still havent abandoned angel but we were going to today. basically their server cant cut it for us anymore because the price keeps going up and the quality isn't improoving...
well wer were looking at LayerdTech also... on my own suggestion with your encouragement I canceled the XL server, and am going to go with LayerdTech.. The only reason we didnt go with LT in the first place is because I prefer to pay with pay pal, w/e I will just deal...
But do you know how long it takes to get the server setup with LT I can wait till monday at the latest because I am trying to get this all done before I loose my current server.
Oh, I forgot to sum that into the choices. I think LayeredTech setup times are around 48 hours, you should double check with them and send them an e-mail or something. I think 15MinuteServers sets up servers pretty quick if LayeredTech doesn't work out.
Originally posted by Sigmaservers LT is normally 96 hours still I think. They do have some offers that enable you to be setup within 48 hours but I don't believe (LT can correct if I am wrong) that they quote 48 hours.
XLHost is staffed on the weekends but not for deploys. They typically deploy Mon - Fri only but have done some deploys for us on the weekend if really needed. Drew even did some on Superbowl weekend
No XLHost is not staffed on weekends AT ALL, try contacting support, sales or billing on a weekend, you won't get a response. Only thing they do on weekends is someone gets paged when someone leaves a message on the answering machine.
