I remember last year Senator Kerry took a tour of a NASA facility and he was photographed in one of those dust-free suits. Some of his PR people raised a fuss claiming it was a Republican ploy to make Kerry look bad. I think they made themselves look bad raising that fuss.
Part of the fuss was a comparison to the 1988 videos of Gov. Dukakis driving a tank, which seemed to have backfired on him. I think what they failed to understand was that the tank video conveyed a kind of pretentiousness that worked against him. The Kerry photo probably wouldn't have worked against him, but the whininess of his PR people did. I don't this the Rumsfeld photo is going to work against him, as long as his PR people don't duplicate the mistakes of Kerry's PR people.

I know nothing of the sort; I only know some of what Rumsfeld has done during this term and therefore of his accomplishments (or lack thereof). Judging that, I can form a reasonable opinion that his time would be better spent applying himself to the art of superhuman action hero portrayal than applying himself to the lousy job he has done as Secretary of Defense.
And in response to your little epithetical generalization added there so artfully and with such articulacy, must you always disregard the substance of one's comments and always attempt to defame and demean one to win an argument?

Btw, what made him acquire the
support of Super Heroes??
The Spiderman comics show that Stan Lee has an unfavorable opinion of soft-on-crime politicians. He doesn't explicitly portray that in the comics as Democrat vs Republican per se, but it wouldn't surprise me for him to be friendly to the Republicans.
