Looking for a (specific) PHP host

A couple of months ago I ran into the website of a host specifically aimed at PHP developers, with things like "we know your needs because we are PHPers too" and "we'll install any library you need" kind of phrases.

I can't for the life of me find this site again and I've been Googling for hours to try and find it.

Does anyone have any idea who this host could be?

Its difficult to locate a host with something written on his site... though you may find other hosts that can provide you similar facilities...

You should be very careful when looking for such a host.

I'm really not sure about the exact texts (If I was, I would probably be able to find it), so don't take it too literally, it's just to give a general idea.

Why so? Most libraries are fine to install, provided they're not commercial (like libPDF). Granted, the host has to know how to install them... just wondering why you would consider it a warning sign?

It would at least be a pretty safe bet anyone saying they could install what ever libraries are requested have their own server(s) and are not reselling, which could be a bonus.

I agree with WebOnce. It is really very safe if any host says that he is ready to install the library that the client need. But at the same this can be real hard job for kvdnberg to find that host. I can only wish kvdnberg good luck.

Gary, before I go off on a tangent here, I want to say that I agree with you. It can be very hard to tell who's a host who could actually help, who's a host who's clueless, and who's a reseller that couldn't help even if they wanted to without putting in a support ticket on their own.

Now, into the rabbit hole we go...

I know this is a little off-topic, but I tried to submit a question on this via helpdesk ticket and my browser crashed.

I just received PM SPAM from "Wazeh" in relation to this thread.

    What he sent was this:
    PHP libraries

    Hello WebOnce,
We do install libraries requested by our users. Which libraries do you have in mind?

    Cheers

I just wanted to say publically, WAY TO MAKE YOURSELF LOOK BAD.

Why in the WORLD would you solicit a HOST about your ability to install php libraries for your clients? And to do so unrequested? While breaking WHT rules (I believe?)...

Anyway, rant over, public shaming completed. Have a great day
