Review: Sprintserve.net

Hello,

I have been with http://www.sprintserve.net for about two years.

I started with a reseller account and I now have a managed dedicated server with them.

1. They are super reliable. My downtime has been very, very minimal.
2. Their support is excellent. On a few occassions I have asked some pretty wacky support requests and they've always been helpful and courteous. They go above and beyond the support agreement I have with them.
3. They are good value. Excellent specs and bandwidth, excellent support and excellent uptime for a very reasonable fee.
4. They are honest. If there is going to be maintenance, downtime (rare) or anything along those lines they always give a lot of advance warning. If there are problems (rare) they keep their clients regularly updated.

Overall I cannot fault them and I cannot see myself leaving them for another host.

If, like me, you have had a lot of bad experiences with hosts in the past, do yourself a favor and move to sprintserve.net.

Cheers.

Isn't it nice to have a nicely written review from a long time WHT member with a lot of experience with the host?

Thank you en2!

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the glowing review. It's always gratifying to see a reseller grow and grow together with us. We look forward to many good years together ahead.

ps. Sorry for the late response Just saw this when I search for our company name.

I would like to retract my positive review of sprintserve.net in this topic. I no longer recommend them as a host. Watch your credit card statements carefully.

I am happy to elaborate via PM if you are considering using them.

I'd be very wary of their side of the story.

I'd like to add the following - my gripe with them is not just a billing issue. I also discovered, after choosing their $34.95 reseller account, that I was actually given a $5 bqbackup.com account instead.

And this is after me being with them for many years, overlooking any downtime I've had, and leaving positive reviews for them.

I even let them take a server from me a few weeks before I was due to give it back to them (and had paid for in full.)

And now I notice they won't refund me for overcharging me.

Unfortunately for me I do not pay any attention to my credit card statements. Who knows what's been going on for the past few years.

AVOID.

What do you mean you were given a $5 bqbackup account? bqbackup provides rsync backup space, they do not offer reseller accounts as far as I know.

Weird how something like that can change so quickly.

Something smells fishy here - I think we'd all like more details.

I'm more wary of your side of the story, to be honest.

Care to elaborate on that?

Where you finished using the server? Did you agree for them to "take a server from" you?

You're more than welcome to present your side of the story, if you feel you must drag this issue into the public arena.

You're more than welcome to present your side of the story here. No need to be discreet, as the issue's already public.

I also think it would be for the best to have both sides of the story here.
