FTP can't browse or change folder

    Hi,

    I have problem here :

I can not browse or change folder on my website's ftp, but I can do every ftp operation (create folder, rename, delete, upload etc) on the home directory ("/").
The problem is I can't change/browse into deeper folder such /public_html.

I can use file manager on cpanel and works fine, or using ftp to browse the folder and no problem.

What happen? Anyone can help me please, I need to solve this problem ASAP.

    Thanks.

Seems like a permission issue of some sort. You the system admin? I would check that first.

    If you do ls -al

Does it show your user and usergroup correctly? To see if chown worked? Also whats the error that it says in the FTP window? Also, check your server logs for some clues as well

Okay that seems okay. You will want to make sure the folders under public_html are digivisi:digivisi

Thats what I'm showing on my server. You can utilize chown -R to do a mass change.

I had this issue once now thinking about it. Are you using Cpanel? Suspend it, then unsuspend it. This help me resetting all the permissions.

Just an idea. You can also try a diff FTP Client....

I've just terminate it once because of this problem, then re-create the account...and still having the same problem.

    But..wait...

Problem solved, it looks like ws ftp bug
I restarted it and works fine now.
