Their network is supposed to have 100% uptime according to their site, try contacting them and asking about the issue experienced.

    Cheers

The network was never down completely, but connectivity over Savvis did have packet loss for a short period of time due to a DDoS attack, which has since been resolved.

Must be a pretty big DDOS attack! (I'm assuming that you have more than 100Mbps connectivity to Savvis)

The attack was over 1 Gbit/sec, and from what we can tell, the network was affected for no more than a couple minutes.

After further investigation, a client on the premium network was running IRC services. That clients account has since been suspended as per our AUP/TOS. This also brought out a couple issues with our network which have also been resolved, increasing internal connectivity over a couple routes, etc.

We have also had an ongoing DDoS over the past couple days, off and on, which has been over 100 Mbit/sec and showing no negative affects on our network.

I didn't notice any downtime from my servers on their premium network nor did the external monitoring systems. Steadfast has done a great job filtering the attacks quickly. Keep up the good work Karl!
