TV on laptop?

What type of tv tuner can I use for my laptop? I would like to be able to connect my VCR to the tv tuner to watch my tapes.
I will be brining my DVD player (which have a viewable screen) with me even though I can play it on my laptop.

I am not sure what tv tuner or tv box I will need for my notebook.

Some laptops come with a S video output, which could be connected to an external display device (tv, vcr..). S video is circle shaped and usually labeled yellow

**Also, I found that S-Video cables are a bit over priced. so be sure to check how much cabling (and the price of that) you need before going with the laptop investment**

Why do you need a VCR? Record digitially now ;-) I reccommend the USB TV 300 from Aver.

I can't get a high definition tv because we can't afford cable at my house. I went to the store but they said the HD tv won't work antenner because they work with cable. We use antenner, not cable, to watch channel 3, 6, 10, 12, 17, 29, and 57 on my tv. So my next qustion is: would that work equipment with an antenner?

Yep, college student here. I need to order something quick before the end of next friday.

Where can I find a cheap DVD burner? Or will that UltraTV USB 300 product convert my VCR tape to DVD with a CD burner? Or would only the CD work with a CD burner? Would the CD work the same way as a DVD?
