Cut-throat normally, but I keep a safety razor handy for days when I have a hangover.

ditto, I'm spending enough on blades already without going even fancier.

Actually I have an electric razor - but hmm - don't have the courage to use that yet.

It's got the works - self cleaning and everything... just seems it's going to sheer my face off! Silent razors are nicer.

I alternate between the Panasonic electric razor and the Gillette Sensor. Rubbing alcohol makes a good pre-shave for the electric. For the blade I usually use a gel in aerosol can. Palmolive Lather in a tube makes a great travel shave cream--plenty of use for the weight. I'm not sure whether it's still in production.

I have a Braun uhm, forget the model, the one with the self cleaning and recharging base that you have to put the little packs of cleaner into, I like it a lot, only electric I've ever liked.

I use a Andis trimmer as my razor. And if I need to get really close then I pull out a Bic from my 6-pack.

    Now that's stylish!

Have any of you actually tried a straight blade? It really is the best and quickest shave you can get.

Start out by just shaving the easy bits first until you get used to it and shave real slow. You can even get straight 'safety' blades now as a gentle introduction.

The good thing is that you buy a razor and a sharpening leather and that's it - nothing more to pay ever.

My brother who lives in Taiwan likes the old double edge razor. I have one, and it's okay, but it doesn't shave as nicely as the cartridge razors. But he likes that the blades are a lot cheaper. He says that the name for a double edge razor in Mandarin translates as "old people's razor".
