    Adsense in hosting business

I've been thinking about it a long time if it was the right thing to do, but finally I put some google ads on my hosting business site.

I have mixed feelings about this practice. For instance, I wonder how will affect my business image as a serious one if a use the site to make a few bucks. On the other side, I feel google ads will provide some useful links to people who doesn't find exactly what they are looking for in my site, for example Windows hosting. Also there is a portion of the market I don't want/have to cover like english spoken market where competition is tight, so I would let the clients go through adsense.

What do you think guys? Has anyone had any experiences?

I wouldn't do it. Why would you want to let your potential customers have easy access to your competition? Even if you make a few dollars from your clicks, it doesn't make sense.

I thought so... It costs very much to stay professional in hosting business these days, you know what I mean.

To be quite honest, this has nothing to do with just the "hosting business." Any professional firm in almost all industries will not put ads on their corporate site (unless their is some sort of corporate partnership that increases revenus significantly). Penny pinching is a sign of weakness in the business world too. Business 101.

I didn't mean the google ads, I meant the amount of (sometimes not-so-honest) players in this business. I don't know your cases in particular but most of the times I cannot compete with people who hardly offer good service in exchange for a ridiculous price.
Honestly hosting services is only a complement of what I do, which is programming, but I find quite difficult to convince clients without having to bring down the business in order to compete.

Just a furious rage, sometimes I can't help get angry about it , never mind

About the google ads, I think as you think, just checking if I am thinking the right way
