The future of WHT? Attempt 3

Well since WHT didn't even include the post with the first topic and then didn't even accept the 2nd topic I'm here trying again.

I've had lots of errors posting on WHT lately where it says that there has been a database error, an email has been sent to support and to try refreshing.

I've also noticed WHT and FWHT offline a few times lately.

With all these tech problems (like posting a new topic which has the title listed and nothing else) how long do you think WHT can last?

    Answers please on a postcard

WHT will last as long as people think it’s a valuable resource, so probably for a while. There are plenty of other hosting forums out there, so anyone who is plagued by the errors (of which I have received only one in the last month) can go elsewhere, but I do not see WHT losing its dominance anytime soon...

Why do you keep posting in "Running a Web Hosting Business"? Surely the "WHT-Announcements, WHT-Feedback, WHT-Questions" would be a much better choice.

I don't think it's going anywhere anytime soon. I certainly know that it has helped me over and over again

I've experienced the same errors Turboz outlined in his initial post a few times as well.

Hangon, I fail to see the logic.

I think it is just a matter of time before this Internet thing fade away. People will go back to posting letters, sending faxes and watching TV. Computers are too complicated and they probably will stop working when all chineses jump at same time. That's just my opinion but I may be wrong.

i get alot of "lost db connection during query" errors.

To find the sql error, view the source, and find the <!-- commented out --> database error summary.

seems like a poor connection among the internal database servers in the inet cluster.

Now,Now Lets not cut down INET

They are a very good company, who knows why these errors are happening....You might hurt thier feelings if they see your comment though Mate, and i think INET is doing the BEST THEY CAN with WHT here........They basically let the staff that was here be4 they bought it run things as they see fit which i think is amazing!!! (SWR,anon-e-mouse,etc.........)

    WHT rocks!!!!!
