I said no, but in retrospect, I do have a blow gun and a couple hundred darts. Does that count? They are high-velocity projectiles capable of seriously injuring or killing someone, and it is a gun by name...

the_pm, shooting computer shipping foam with broadhead blowgun darts is a ton of fun.

I have a blast shooting trees with the thing, but still nothing beats a real gun for a little stress relief on the range.

I had one of those blowdarts a few years back until my wife confiscated it after getting sick of pulling them out of all the walls around the house It was quite fun but you get sick of people asking what those 'things' sticking into the wall are

You should try a cross bow. The visual effects of an arrow lodge in somebodies stomache is far more dramatic and a bullet. If you use the correct tension and arrow head the arrow can pass right through the person.

When was the last time there was gun reform in America? As Americans arn't you concerned about your youth having such easy access to firearms? Do you really need more then one firearm at home?

Spirit, gun education is the way to teach the youth, not removing the guns.

Even in countries with guns outlawed, if someone wants them, they will get them, it is worthless trying to cover it up with a facade.

Nope, I don’t have one, never have and never will.

I have to agree with SpiritAu – How can Americans not be concerned about their youth being so exposed to firearms?

It's illegal to sell firearms to minors less than 18 years old. Identification is required.

I also own more than one computer, camera, and pair of shoes.

If they are properly locked up and the ammo is locked in a seperate place a rifle/pistol/shotgun isn't accessible.

If you are a competitive marksman the answer is a very strong yes.
If you hunt (and hopefully eat what you shoot) then the answer is yes.
If it is used for nothing more then security I would tend to agree with you that one is plenty.
