    disabling index.htm

Say I want to arrange so that index.htm is not called in my server. Rather I want someone to look at the content of my directory rather than looking at index.htm.

    How can I do that?

What about if I want to do that only on some account?

Yep! it is possible by using .htaccess..say for example if you like to setup "home.htm" as your default home page add the following lines in the .htaccess file :

    DirectoryIndex home.htm
