How can you search for something that you dont know about?

Not everyone read those threads you know.

    Peace,
    well let me explain....

he/she posted a link to google suggest meaning he/she just found this and wanted to share it with is....

    well....

if he/she went to "Search" on WHT and keyed in "Google Suggest" he/she will find all the threads made about it. then if he read the thread he will know all about it

    PEACE.

That's Ajax at work right there... amazing technology that Google has taken to new levels .

It's a really nice feature, but I am sure it will become more annoying then helpful after a while.

Sorry for the repost, I acutally DID do a search before I posted (for Google Suggest) and saw nothing on the first few pages. The pasts posts you have up there were about 6 pages back.

Indeed Google Suggest is an incredible implementation and exploitation of the Ajax technology. I hope to try out Ajax soon in a Python framework... I just have to think of what to use it for. It's just one of those things that "seems" really cool, but is probably more trouble than it's worth with its RPC calls, JavaScript, and XML.

I've never seen it, but it looks really nice. I wonder how many "secret Googles" are out there, waiting to be found.

Congradulations on giving an example of what not to do.

PLEASE do not go back 6 months and bring up an old thread. It's annoying and it's typically considered thread bumping (in my opinion, the mods may differ). If it's more then 30 days old, start a new topic.

its considered bumping to add somthing on to an old thread? well thats just stupid.

its better to add somthing to an old thread then to read the same thing millions of times over. ( ex-aderation there but u get my point).

This is the world of technology, everything doubles in 5 seconds. (since we are exaggerating ). I hate reading 9 page threads. If I'm interested in a topic, I want it to be fresh instead of trying to read in context, when most of the time the content has changed over several months. That's why are their 500 reviews of some companies on the board, as opposed to one thread with 9839 pages of reviews.
