Very annoying Habit.

Look folks there is no such word as Noone

Why is it that people on these forums keep writting this none word. There is two words No One but to say noone sounds and looks stupid.

I would appreciate every body cease this practice forth with.

People here have varying levels of English knowledge. Instead of creating a new thread with the sole purpose of ragging on these people, you could have just as easily PMed them politely suggesting the proper spelling.

And honestly, I wouldn't talk...

No I am not talking about people accidently making spelling mistakes, or people whose first language isn't English I'm talking about members that have a good command of the English language and deliberately use "noone" . I have search the internet and hard copy Dictionaries and Encyclopedia Britannica and this is the only definition I can find of the word "Noone:

Definitions of Noone:

name: A surname (rare: 1 in 100000 families; popularity rank in the U.S.: #13694)

True and I probably am one of the worst offenders, however contrary to popular belief I don't do it on purpose and when people point it out I do my best to rectify my sloppy habits. However it seems everybody has decided that this is a word. There is many abreviations that can be annoying like lol, ppl, peeps however I know that is an abreviation. Noone isn't an abreviation. Anon-e-mouse suggested Olde Englishe, but I am unable to find any reference to it.

If your native language isn't English, it can take some time to learn. Could you write your thoughts out properly in Spanish, Hebrew or German?

Firstly I am not complaining per say. I am stating how annoying it is and requesting people not to use it any more. Also I am not talking about a few spelling mistakes, I am talking about a word that doesn't exist. Now I am sure that most people didn't realise this wasn't a word. They saw it in use and followed suit. I would think people should be thanking me for pointing out their error. I am sure WHT member wouldn't want to continue with this practice, now they know there is no such word. We are all very helpful people on these forums, and we are also very concious of using correct spelling and proper words, wouldn't you agree.

There is also no such word as writting (No entry found for writting.) Doc, if you want to criticise people for their spelling errors, run your post through a spell checker first please

Or did you mean "I would appreciate everybody cease this practice forthwith."?
