Thread: hacking?

  1. #1

I run 2 commercial sites and used to enjoy reasonable success.

Traffic up to last October 2004 ran at about 500 (site1) and 1000 (site2) visitors per day and this approximately doubled on the run up to Xmas.

Early in February 2005 my web hosts experienced a lot of down time so I switched to a new host.

Immediately I did my traffic levels dropped to less than 200 (site1) and less than 300 (site2) vistors per day where it has remained.

I expected a post Xmas drop to about the pre Xmas levels but not a drop of this level.

Am I being paranoid or is it possible for the choice of Web Host to affect traffic levels?

if you are selling something, you have to realize people dont have the money they had around christmas, everyone is seeing a drop in sales. also it was tax time which drained alot of people.
