restoring a full backup file on a reseller account, possible

    hi,

if you are a root, you can make a FULL backup restore
in your root whm account. it will restore everything including mysql db.

How about if you are only a whm/cpanel reseller only (no root).
and you dont want to ask for help from the technician
    root/admin user.

    1) you have a FULL backup file that is 200MB in size.
can you restore that full backup file including the mysql db
using only the cpanel restore function?

    2) in cpanel it only has "HOME RESTORE"
does that mean you can restore the FULL BACKUP file thru cpanel?

    3) Is there a trick, that you want to share?

    thanks

No, there is not 'trick'. Unless you get another reseller plan, (at a DIFFERENT webhost) then you can do it that way. Thats what I do... never had to use it thoe...

Upload it to the account and ask your host to restore it for you? It only takes about 60 seconds of attention to do, so I believe most hosts would be willing to do this either for free for for an almost insignificant fee.

    Yes, this method can work.
