I needed a VPS machine to do some beta testing on, and VPSColo was willing to offer me a free 2 months on a VPS despite the fact that I am not transfering from a competetor (rather, just using a dedicated and wanting a VPS also)
So, seems fine with me. Runs UML, but thats ok. Seems like while PowerVPS rates much higher, they are still known as a pretty good provider.
I guess I didnt know what I was getting into. I should have noticed from the fact that my sales questions were never answered on time that there were going to be some problems down the road.
So, heres the week.
Wednesday 13th - Write in asking about special, wait for response
Friday 15th - Call and ask about special, give person ticket number, told that they just never got around to getting back to me on my sales question
Saturday 16th - Monday 18th - Consider signing up, try to figure out why sales never responded
Tuesday 19th - I ordered, but don't recieve invoice
Wednesday 20th - Recieve invoice, and even a reminder! Too bad I cant login to pay it till I figure out that my password is a space. Pay invoice
Thursday 21st - Recieve apology from billing department about password not being setup. I send email to support asking where my login info is
Friday 22nd - Recieve respose around 3 AM from Rus asking if Fortress ITX datacenter is ok, while he also alerts me that its my only choice. Says he will make sure my account is up by end of day. I send response saying ok around 8 AM, and asked if they will get Level (3) Bandwidth soon (like their site has claimed for awhile now). Wait till 4 PM, and then call asking about account setup. Get told, "No Problems Sir, I'll just let sales know to setup your account." Called back around 6 PM, and get told the same thing again. I call and leave Rus a message (x119). no response to that yet either
Now I call, and get told they are closed, even though they claim 24/7 phone support. Support and Sales mailboxes are full, doesnt sound good.
Support, Sales, Billing, it all seems slow at this place.
Anyone else experiencing issues?

Just wanted to say that I normally do try to solve problems with the host first. But I have become rather discouraged and I dont seem to be getting anywhere (fast at least), so I want to see if anyone else if having the same problems or has some advice
Sales is closed, Billing is closed, but support is always, there most likley tech went to the restroom or was in the DC. So there is no claim it is a FACT. And 3am for you is around 8 or 9am for Rus, as he is in the UK.

After a year with vpscolo, I have nothing but good to say for the support. Although I was nervous about the recent switchover to FortressITX, so far their support has been excellent also, even within the last week where I needed help with a few things.
