Help me choose a bed - can't decide!

I'm getting a new bed and dresser but can't decide which of the two below beds to get and it's dirving me nuts for days now. Both beds are sold from two different places (same price) and both told me all sales are FINAL, no exceptions. So if I get the wrong one I'm screwed.

Which of the two below beds would you get? The first bed or the second? The first has too high of a head board and foot board but is a good medium color. The second bed has the wood frame I want but is too dark in color, or is it too dark?

Stare at the above beds for a while and tell me... which is best? I'm driving myself nuts with indecision and need help...

I like them, they are sleigh beds and very popular. I like sleigh beds because you have a nice head board and foot board.

Maybe I should save my money and get neither, I can't take the indecision anymore and now someone says they are both ugly. I can't win.

The second one catches my eyes first. Is it mahogany? Me and wife are looking to get a california king when we get in the new house. She is having a hard time deciding as well
We to like the sleigh looking bed suits.
    ----edit----

I too like sleigh beds :)
    It's not mahogany I don't think. I think it's cherry, here's another pic:

Its actually a very good brand, it's from Basset (Louis Phillip Style) for that particular one:

You don't think it's too dark though? I'm driving myself nuts...

What color is your carpet and walls?
I dont think its dark at all considering I like a dark environment.
I think its a nice looking set.

I personally, don't like either of those beds. Too Victorian-ish for me. I like Modern or classy modern stuff.

    ugh

#1, never buy something like that at a place that says all sales final

#2, neither of those beds are very attractive

    #3, they both seem overpriced...

I like the second one quite a bit.... although I've never really been a fan of oak.

Great, wish I'd never asked. Now I'm even more indecisive

LaurenStephens.com, I live in palm beach gardens, FL.

I don't care what anybody says, I like sleigh beds. They look nice and sturdy. Even though neither of those two are exactly what I like. The sleigh beds I love are way too expensive which I won't buy right now so I had to narrow it down to these two.

City Furniture is a very big furniture company franchised all over and they say all sales are final. Which I say is bullsh*t but they are the only ones who carry one of those beds. Oh well, I'll fiqure it out I guess.

I threw out my old bed and my dresser so now I'm stuck sleeping on my couch. I guess if I were smart I would have bought a new bed BEFORE tossing out the old one?

I'd focus on the mattress and boxspring set. What kind of warranty? What manufacturer and reputation? How does it feel and look in the store?

I have a Simmons Beautyrest set. 20 year warranty. Cost me $400 in 1980. It's five years past warranty and still in good condition.

I don't plan on keeping the new bed for more than maybe 2 years so quality doesn't really matter to me (just looks)... I'll buy the perfect one later on when I can afford it.

But in the meantime I do need a bed because now I'm sleeping on a couch

I don't really like either of those beds but what I really want costs well over $3,000 go fiqure

Personally I do not like these type of beds, but if you do good for you. I am a very simple guy so basically anything does as long as I have a blanket on top of me...

Oh if I had to choose I would say first one, but the second one is nice as well...
