Child Porn Alert :: Watch out for this user

    Hello all,

Be on the lookout for a user using the email:

    hboltoh @ yahoo.com and domain boltohltd.com

This user acquired a dedicated server from us and was hosting Child Porn. We took down his server immediately but he found us through WHT so just a head's up.

The same domain was hosted on one of our servers ( I work for a web hosting company which name I don'w want to tell), but he used a differnet email, I will look in the archives and I will post here if I find more info about the account.

We can help track them down, but its up to the FBI and international organizations to go after these creeps.

we can stop giving then a place to put their trash... don't take them as clients and notifiy someone when you come across them

no one expects you to go to their house and put them in jail... that is what law enforcement is for but as I said before, the industry can stop giving them a place to go and be proactive in assisting law enforcement officials in finding and stopping them

I think in most cases the privacy policy is void when a user breaks the policy themselves or viloates the TOS. Thats how most companies have it setup.

    Hello,

The question I have is if this guy was passing out child porn, then why did you not pass the logs to the FBI or Local law enforcement. I understand privacy acts and policies, but I do believe anyone with a "legal" policy you have the right to turn that information of to local law enforcement. So do so.... If your policies don't include that ADD IT...

We (the hosting community) are the first line of defense to stop these sick minded [email protected]$ stopped... (forgive the characters, I hate those people!!!)

Remember the child used in these photos are almost always kidnapped, and abused childred.. Try and make a difference and pass there info to those who can truely stop this spread.

Enough ranting THANKS for the heads up....

Hello. I never said we didn't pass the info along to the proper authorities. All proper actions have been taken.

The purpose of this thread was to impede his move to another host by letting other hosts on WHT (where he found us) know about him.

This is something I think we should all do when we come across these type of people.

    Hello,

I was not so much saying that torwards you I was just making a general statment about what can be done or should be done. I guess reading back at my statement it does appear to be directed torwards you so I am sorry for that.

Also I did a WHOIS on that domain and it came back blank so who knows..

Thanks for pointing out my mistake in the comments...

I know its illegal, but I am very curious to this... If as rational human beings, we are against racial discrimination, then why do we discriminate on the basis of age? Now, would you have turned down that client if he was hosting an adult pornsite? If you are a host that allows porn sites, then you most likely wouldn't have. I am not encouraging child porn here.. But i am worried about the individual consent of a teenager.

    Hello,

I personally DO NOT host adult sites, but I know there are and thats the choice of the person, but all adults must have "models" over the age of 18 which has been determined as the age of consent. A child, teenage, or young adult which ever you decide to call it can be and has been manipulated to do these acts, so even a "consulting" teenager may have been played with in their head and not fully understand the outcome of their actions. This is where an "adult" should step in and protect them.

On another note it is PUBLIC knowledge that MOST child porn sites are made using photos from children who have been kidnapped, or are abused into making them do these acts. Thus, not giving consent whether they are a child, teenager, or young adult. Simply ask the FBI what the most likely case of child porn comes from, Abused children!

So this is NOT a case of "age discrimination", this is where we as adults, parents, and hosting companies need to help streamline the procedures and policies regarding this and fight to stop all child porn sites. As a "human being" we need to step up to the plate and PROTECT children and not rationlize a persons reasons or whether the child in the photo is a consenting adult.

If they are under the age of 18 SHUT IT DOWN!

If they are over 18 then have (as the site owner) a written consent form on file from them attached with a photo of the "model", copy of drivers license of the "model", and then give this information (copies) to the hosting provider so they can prove this is an adult. Again this is if you allow adult sites....

Most states now have passed legislation that require you to report the finding or child pornography. There's no reasonable expectation of privacy for the comission of felonies.

I think this might help. I took this from The Planet's AUP.

Violations of the Child Protection Act should be reported to the U.S. Customs Agency at 1-800-BEALERT.
I hope this guy gets taken down and has an encounter with bubba in jail.

Interesting that the domain is not even showing up as registered. Thanks for the heads up... it's important the companies share this type of information.
