I recently got a new contract to re-make a models website. Its the typical type of internet model site, bunch of free samples, but need a membership to view the nude stuff and more content.

Before i start coding this site from scratch in php/mysql I was wondering if anyone knew of any good scripts for this type of site? preferable free. There are a ton of these models sites out there, a lot are very alike so i figure there must by some 3rd party scripts being used.

Get a custom build one by a programmer, this would be more easier for you. Might be costly but worth it.

I am capable of programming my own, I am pretty good at php, its just the time issue. That is why i look for a base open source script to work from.

second choice:

contentgod dot com ( not free ... )


or adapt OS commerce ( that will be free, but mising all the automated features of above )

I really don't think osCommerce is what he is looking for. I am sure you can find some commercial scripts at hotscripts.com, but I don't think this genre of site would attracr many open source programmers. If you are getting paid to make it, I'd suggest using some of that money to get a commerical script.

i would consider a commercial script but i have been unable to find any decent ones. thats what i was hoping to find posting here, hoping another webmaster has used one.

hmm checked the 2 suggestions out, SiteDepth CMS looks ok.. but $399 USD! and the other one is $1700 or something.

For what they are especialy SiteDepth it is not worth it. Better off taking a normal CMS and modding it.

There must be some other solutions, its a huge industry. (i am new to this type of site)

did a lot of looking around still can't find anything decent.

Still open for suggestions, but I think i might try coding from scrated, or build something around coppermine gallery.

Actualy does anyone know of a free gallery script that has a pay model? or member only galleries.
