Creating an image file of the system.
Hi all!
I currently have a raq4i and am wanting to duplicate the system to a home computer... This way I can develop on my home system and then upload the changes. My first thought was to download the raq4i restore iso, but could not install because it requires booting from the network which I could do.
My question is how would I create an image file of the raq hdd so I can download it...
My next question is how to can I extract an image to a home system??
A program called ghost does what I want on windows machines but I need a similar program or way to do the same thing on a raq4i system.
any help would be appreciated!...::: HOST APPROVAL :::...

Ghost will duplicate a RaQ (EXT2) filesystem as well.
But it'd be pointless, the boot process checks for ROM dependencies that only the RAQ hardware will have. You won't be able to boot the image on your personal PC.
You can duplicate the development environment though:

Hope this helps,

My suggestion: Use a regular RedHat to develop on. The differences between that and the RaQ are small.
Apart from that, you could try buying an old used RaQ for development.Jens Kristian Søgaard, Mermaid Consulting ApS,
