Has anyone ever heard of this software, FreeVPS.com. Its freeware under the GNU GPL.
Anyone currently use it or know anything about it?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

DensityHost,
I would not recommend using it for commercial purposes.

Steven,
Stop feeding me conflicting information!
I had heard something about 'openVPS' densityhost, although the same way I wouldn't recommend using bandmin for commercial purposes, although I guess we all technically use open source operating systems for commercial gain.
That said - virtuozzo is very nice.

From our testing here, I would have to say Xen is not ready for commercial hosting purposes. At least not on a large scale. There is a lot in the roadmap over the next 6 months. I beleive we will wait until 3.0 to do any more testing. The project is very dynamic with updates almost daily currently, hopefully they'll stick to the roadmap.

From our experience FreeVPS is not ready for a commercial environment. When placed under any load it would crash. A patch came out that helped somewhat, but if such an issue can occur in the first place, and the problem wasn't completely aleviated either, I wuld not be willing to put paying clients on it.
On the other hand, we have yet to have a Virtuozzo server crash...

UML is extremely reliable from my expierence, and its good to split a server a few ways, but if you are going to put many customers on a server i would suggest Virtuozzo, at hostingplex we just switched from UML to Virtuozzo as it lets us better maximize use of our hardware, easier to share resources such as ram between users and keep wasted disk space to a minimum.... Virtuozzo costs more (compared to 0$) but it is very well built.
