I am supposed to be on a dedicated server, but I'm wondering if I am paying for a dedicated server, but actually have a VPS!

Is there any way for me to find out if my server is a VPS and not dedicated?

Hi,

Do you have a control panel, whm/cpanel for example?

If so, check the "Server Information" page

If your on a dedicated you should see info about the drives, Under Physical Disks.. if your on a VPS.. that section would most likely be empty..

if you search around here, there were a number of potential detection mechanisms you could try, assuming the host isn't working hard to mask things...
