Unmetered Bandwidth

I was looking at some plans offered by rackforce and they all say unmetered for bandwidth. I'm not sure if I understand what is unmetered bandwitdh.

The standard option is a 1,5 mb/s link. How much bandwidth is this anyway?

I know unmetered is very different from unlimited. Does anyone knows how it works?

Thanks.

Unmetered means that if you use the full capacity of a 1.5Mbps link then you will not be billed extra. You can basically use what you need.

1.5Mbps is around 500Gb at a rough estimate.

1.5 megabits per second is also commonly found on cable modems and DSL these days. If you're downloading from a 1.5mb/s connection expect speeds of ~180-190kB/s in your browser or FTP client.
