Gas is currently $0.41 AUD here. That's approx $0.32 per litre American.
With the 4 cents off for the grocery discount that works out at $0.37 AUD. Once I buy the Gas I then take the receipt to any IGA supermarket and they give me a further 4 Cent discount. That brings the final price down to $0.33 AUD per Litre.
The service stations that accept the supermarket discounts are the cheapest in the town anyway. Most service stations are selling Gas for $0.49 AUD where as the discount service stations are 8 cents cheaper BEFORE the added 4 cents.
I usually buy around 80 Litres. If I go to a standard service station I would pay $39.20 but with the discounted Gas I am paying $26.40. That is a saving of $12.80 AUD per tank. A good saving wouldn't you say.

In Moscow the $0.43.. 0.54 depends on fuel performance number. It seems like it much cheaper than in Europe and bigger than in USA.

I wish that gas was that price here in the US. I think the last time I filled up, it was $2.30 a gallon or roughly $0.60 per liter. That is almost double the price of what you are paying.

Here the price is pretty ok. Can understand the jokes when I would get a much higher gas price.

You should see the prices in UK then about £0.82 per litre, which works out to exactly $2.00 AUD!

Yes but are you talking about Gas or Petrol ?? Gas =LPG liquid Petroleum gas, where as Petrol is petroleum.
basically it is really very simple. My vehicle runs on Gas ... I had to have it special converted so it would run on Gas. Gas it basically Gas where as Petrol is a liquid. My vehicle can run on either Petrol or Gas however Gas is about 60% cheaper than Petrol.
We call petrol, petrol because it is a liquid and it comes from Petroleum, however we call gas, Gas (LPG) because it is a Gas not a liquid,

TheDoctor...
Would then what you call 'Gas' (LPG - as you stated) Propane?
Because around here, we call LP Gas Propane...

Not sure but I think so. do you have vehicles that can run on Gas (LPG .. propane) ??
We put a large cylinder in the back of the car and run pipes too the the carby, there is a converter ring that sits on top of the carburetor, and another converter that is mounted next to the carby somewhere, some sort of computer no doubt. It is at least 50% cheaper than gas and far less exhaust problems with gas.

Well, I dont know anything about how an engine works, and how the 'gas' would be routed. But when you say cylinder, it makes me think that you would be talking about propane. Because propane is most of the time in cylinders. Does this 'gas' have a smell of rotten eggs by any chance. Propane is scented for safety, at least, again, over here it is...
