Several days ago, someone here started a thread, asking for help in finding a host that is similar to Myacen. I was one of several people who replied to their question.
Today, I received a private message from RFHost, saying,
"I saw you were looking for a host similar to Myacen. Perhaps you might be interested in our latest special offer. (Blah, blah, blah deleted)
I can understand that RFhost might want to send a PM to the original poster of that thread, but I don't see why they would want to write to me. am not interested in a host that is similar to Myacen. I never said that I was. Anyone who read that thread would know that. I simply replied to a message in that thread that was posted by someone who was looking for such a host.
I'm wondering if everyone who replied to that thread received the same private offer from RFhost. If so, I would consider RFhost's message to be spam.
[update]A few minutes after I replied to RFhost, telling them that I'm not interested, they sent me another private message:
Very sorry. I did not mean to P.M you. And no I was no spamming I only meant to send it to the person who started the thread!! Anyway I apologize , I read the thread to quickly!!
Unless other people got RFhost's private message too, it looks like this is just more evidence that the Devil is in the details, so you've got to read message threads carefully.[/update]
