Bad service from Unixshell

Hi,

I had ordered a 256 plan from Unixshell. When I paid, the information displayed on the screen told me that my acct will be setup in 24 hrs. I waited more than 24 hrs and no sign of my acct being set up. Then Matt wrote to me sayng that they had to get new hardware and that they will get it on Sunday. Now it is Tuesday and there is no sign of my acct ever being setup. This is bad service. They don't deliver what they promise.

I have now signed up with another provider and have put in an emergency request to cancel this order and refund my cash. It is now 4 hrs since I put in that 'emergency' request and no one has even bothered to answer me.

This is just terrible service. When you say the acct will be setup in 24 hrs honor it. this is no way to treat customers. I only hope that you will now refund my cash ASAP without problems.

Please stay away from Unixshell. they don't deliver what they promised and their service sucks.

That sucks, sorry to hear about your situation. Well, I have a close friend of mine who has VPSes on their Tektonic service that has tried getting dibs on a Unixshell VPS..Its pretty hard right now I hear. He has been told that popularity has been "intense" for Unixshell VPSes and that they were in a "state of shock" by the amount of people coming in..so I don't know...

I think the hardware statement has some merit..they're appear to be hosted at GNAX Atlanta, which has a reputation for delivering hardware not-so-on-time even (even when you order in a very long ways advance..(I used to colo there)), so I dunno..they seem like good people from what I hear, and i'm sure they'll give you your refund in due time. There are a lot of possibilities for them not responding even..maybe they just don't do billing certain hours?

Who knows.

They can't sell you what they don't have. Just be patient.

Yes demand is incredibly high right now. We will either refund those who cannot wait (although I do believe it worth waiting for!) or when you are setup we will reset your renew date to sync up with the date your account is created.

* Customer service sucks badly

Despite saying that I need the order cancelled and that I need my cash back, and despite opening two tickets about it, I still have not got my money back. Also no one has bothered to reply to those 2 tickets either.

This only proves that customer service just sucks and sucks badly at UNIXSHELL.

Please do cancel my order and refund my damn cash back and lets part peacefully.

Horrible service!!!!!!!!

I take back that i'm sorry about your troubles..

This may sound completely unprofessional on my part but...you know if you want people to help you its pretty bad tact to go and say they outright suck, while saying you want to part with them "peacefully." The only time I called a host bad names is when they just laughed my tickets off or gave me a boneheaded answer. It seems you got neither, but still belittled this host..plus I doubt you are parting "peacefully" anyway, since WHT's postings are forever searchable. I can only hope that some mod comes by and does something to this topic in its entirety..

Some may agree that doing something like this is in range of acceptable, but I do not. It is a completely rotten method that denounces even the best of hosts, and while I agree that some hosts may deserve it, their situation was already pointed out to you..

Your situation pales to many others anyway, many of the hosts that made billing errors had to take a week to refund my money. Most hosts are good hosts, except when it comes to money.

A shame you didn't wait since my buddy appears to have gotten his Unixshell VPS today.

Good day to you sir,
deviations

Very sorry to say that there was no email from you on this. Also I checked with my bank, sorry to say you have not refunded the cash. Please do not tell dirty lies like this and please refund my money immediately.

As to Mr.Deviations, sorry to say that the situation does suck entirely because when you promise something to some one you deliver it. This is very true of a business too. Never mind whether its a good host or a bad host... If a host promises to deliver, they SHOULD abide by their promise.

Also telling lies like they refunded the cash when they have not is downright dirty. My bank says they have not got the money to the card.

[rant] Why is WHT the place where people try to strongarm everybody else into doing something for them? [/rant]

I can only hope that TheWiseOne will be willing to post some evidence that he sent out the info. Otherwise, I still really do not feel sorry for you. You are deeply errant in your ways of dealing with businesses. Perhaps you go to your local supermarket and picket with a blowhorn in front of the store when the strawberries have not arrived saying that the store has multiple health violations and needs to be shut down.

I can only hope that you will change in your ways.

The situation isn't too pleasant of course, but in no way does it justify such a rude behavior. Just a guess, but this account seems to be registered solely for a purpose of bashing and belittling UnixShell...

The refund was processed. I did provide the transaction number for the credit. Credit is not instant, it first needs to settle then it moves it's way to the merchant bank and then through the inter-bank routing system. Normally this takes 3 days so I am surprised if you don't have it by now.
