ProFTPD tuning..

I would suggest using the following settings in Proftpd proftpd.conf configuration file...

TimeoutIdle 300
TimeoutNoTransfer 300
TimeoutLogin 60
MaxInstances 30
MaxClientsPerHost 3
UseReverseDNS off
CommandBufferSize 256
tcpNoDelay on
tcpBackLog 64
MaxConnectionRate 32
MaxClientsPerHost 3 "Sorry, only 3 connections per host!"
MaxLoginAttempts 2
TransferRate RETR 1024
TransferRate STOR 3072
