Does anyone know if places like Best Buy, CompUSA, Circuit City, Computer Renniassance sell 1U or 2U PCI Riser cards? I can't seem to find my extras off hand, and I need one for tomorrow, so I can't order one.

riser cards are 'specialty' items, you can never find them in those 'super' stores!

I've bough hundreds of riser cards from this eBay seller:

they ship the same day of payment. overnite it if u must.

Overnight doesnt help me, I'm at the datacenter now, and I live 2hrs away. Worse comes to worse, I order some and make the 2hr trek again next week. I'll just have to live without the raid adapter for now.

1U risers have quite a few varients, and basically they are not interchangeable. make sure u buy the right kind to fit your motherboard

5v 32-bit 33mhz PCI
5v 32-bit 33mhz 'reversed' PCI
3.3v 32bit 33mhz PCI
3.3v 64-bit 66/100/133mhz PCI-X
3.3v 64-bit 66/100/133mhz 'reversed' PCI-X

some Supermicro/Tyan server boards will only accept a riser made by their own! generic type won't work.

what's the make/model of the motherboard in there?
