I see in the vps plans excel sheet that carlos made the word multiple Os. My problem is I want to have acess to Win / Nix set up.


I want to try cfm, cocoon, lenya, tomcat and all the other stuff you can't under a reseller plan. Can vps get me there?

Multiple OS means the VPS Host offers multiple operating systems such as Redhat9, Cent OS, Redhat ES3, etc from which you can choose to install as your VPS OS.

I'm not aware of a VPS Host offering Virtuozzo for Windows yet, and wouldn't recommend running any critical sites on that line yet.

Carlos means you can choose Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, etc. from the same plan.

You would need more than one VPS to run both windows and linux, unless you set up a VPS within a VPS (I think that's possible... )

Yeah, BurstNET is right, but I would wait a bit until I bought one. Even though it HAS become more stable, they haven't made burstable RAM yet and I think there may still be a few hidden bugs out there.

Lol you offer windows. Your plans seem pretty cool. The backup charges if im reading your plans the right way, dont make it an effective alternative for me at this time. Darn...

You can do backups yourself right the the Virtuozzo Power Panel with no cost involved. We do backups ourselves as well, of the entire server, so we can restore service in the event of any failure--besides it being a RAID configuration to begin with.

Our VPS backups that we sell are more of an insurance policy that we make sure they are being done, and assist with data restoration in the event of failure.
