Possible to upload CPanel backup to new Plesk server?


I have a backup tar from my old cpanel server. I would like to upload it to my new plesk server. Is this possible?

waiting more than 20 mins to bump your thread might help

yes you can upload the tar to your new server.

if you actually meant can you restore the backed up files then again yes - just untar them and move the website files into the right place and import the databases etc

if you're asking can it be done automatically - there *were* some plesk tools to import sites from cPanel servers - check with sw-soft

What about the other way around - I have a PLESK dump that I would like to have restored onto cPanel (25 domains in total, with SQL databases, scripts etc). Can it be done or do I have to manually reinstall all the scripts etc?

plesk dump -not easily

better if you have access to the source to scp it entirely or tar up , ftp it over, un tar it and mv into correct places
